About Kerri

Kerri Bauer, a dedicated 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor, currently calls the stunning island of Saipan home. Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, she made the tropical relocation with her husband and family in 2019.

Her journey into the world of wellness began in 2008 when she embarked on a path of teaching group fitness. Following the attainment of a master's degree in school counseling, Kerri spent 8 years as a dedicated school counselor. It became evident that there existed a profound connection between mental and physical well-being.

Yoga serves as a graceful bridge between these two realms, a fact that Kerri finds immensely fulfilling as both a practitioner and an instructor. Leading by example, she imparts the joy of yoga to others and revels in guiding them along their own paths of self-discovery.

Kerri's expertise shines through in her regular beach yoga classes, a soul-soothing experience against the backdrop of the ocean waves. Throughout each month, her offerings extend beyond the shoreline to include an array of diverse yoga classes. Among these are the invigorating "Class and a Glass," the serene practice of sunset yoga, and the enriching journey of kids' yoga classes.

For those seeking a more personal touch, Kerri is available for private events, where her expertise can be tailored to create a customized and deeply rewarding yoga experience. Feel free to reach out for more details and to plan your exclusive session.

Class Structure:

  1. Opening Meditation: The session begins with participants finding a comfortable seated position on their mats. The instructor leads a brief meditation, encouraging participants to center themselves, tune into the sounds of the ocean, and set positive intentions for the practice.

  2. Warm-up: Gentle warm-up movements help prepare the body for the practice. These may include stretching, neck and shoulder rolls, and easy spinal twists to gradually awaken the muscles and joints.

  3. Sun Salutations: A series of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) is often incorporated to build heat and flow. The synchronized movement with breath helps participants establish a rhythmic and energizing pace.

  4. Asanas (Yoga Poses): The instructor guides participants through a sequence of yoga poses that emphasize balance, flexibility, and strength. The poses are chosen to enhance the connection between mind, body, and the surrounding natural environment.

  5. Breathwork (Pranayama): Throughout the practice, breath awareness and controlled breathing techniques are integrated to promote relaxation and mindfulness.

  6. Meditation and Savasana: The practice transitions into a period of seated meditation, where participants focus on their breath and the sights and sounds of the ocean. This is followed by Savasana, allowing participants to fully relax and absorb the benefits of their practice.

  7. Closing: The class concludes with participants gradually reawakening their bodies and minds. The instructor may offer a few words of reflection or inspiration to carry into the rest of the day.
