About Kerri

Kerri Bauer is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor who calls the beautiful island of Saipan home. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kerri relocated to the tropics with her husband and family in 2019, embracing island life and its natural rhythm.

Her passion for wellness began in 2008 through teaching group fitness classes, eventually leading her to earn a master’s degree in school counseling. Kerri spent eight years working as a school counselor, where she witnessed firsthand the deep connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Yoga became the natural bridge between these worlds. As both a dedicated practitioner and instructor, Kerri finds great fulfillment in helping others slow down, reconnect, and build strength—on and off the mat. Her teaching style is approachable, supportive, and rooted in mindful movement.

Kerri is best known for her beachfront yoga classes, offering a grounding and uplifting experience with the ocean as the backdrop. Each month, she also leads a variety of specialty classes, including sunset yoga, Class & a Glass, full moon flows, and kids’ yoga, creating space for students of all ages and experience levels.

In addition to group classes, Kerri offers private sessions and special events, thoughtfully customized to meet the needs of individuals, families, or groups. For private bookings or event inquiries, please reach out for more details.

Class Structure:

  1. Opening Meditation: The session begins with participants finding a comfortable seated position on their mats. The instructor leads a brief meditation, encouraging participants to center themselves, tune into the sounds of the ocean, and set positive intentions for the practice.

  2. Warm-up: Gentle warm-up movements help prepare the body for the practice. These may include stretching, neck and shoulder rolls, and easy spinal twists to gradually awaken the muscles and joints.

  3. Sun Salutations: A series of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) is often incorporated to build heat and flow. The synchronized movement with breath helps participants establish a rhythmic and energizing pace.

  4. Asanas (Yoga Poses): The instructor guides participants through a sequence of yoga poses that emphasize balance, flexibility, and strength. The poses are chosen to enhance the connection between mind, body, and the surrounding natural environment.

  5. Breathwork (Pranayama): Throughout the practice, breath awareness and controlled breathing techniques are integrated to promote relaxation and mindfulness.

  6. Meditation and Savasana: The practice transitions into a period of seated meditation, where participants focus on their breath and the sights and sounds of the ocean. This is followed by Savasana, allowing participants to fully relax and absorb the benefits of their practice.

  7. Closing: The class concludes with participants gradually reawakening their bodies and minds. The instructor may offer a few words of reflection or inspiration to carry into the rest of the day.
